[By Telegraph—Press Association.) TARANAKI TEAM. NEW PLYMOUTH, July 9. The following team has been chosen to represent Taranaki against Britain on Wednesday:—Full back, A. Hargreaves; three-quarters C. Sheeliam, I). Cameron, E. Dine ; five-eights H. Mynott, J. Hunter; half J. Coleman ; wing T. Sheeham ; forwards —front row, Whittington, Cane; supports, Crowley, Tamil (lock), Smith; back row, J. O'Sullivan, H. Rotticry. Emergency back —Hooker, forward—Puk ere. Great interest is taken in the match and the five shilling seats are selling rapidly and a thousand pound gate is expected. PREPARING FOR THE FOOTBALL MATCH. AUCKLAND, July 9.—A large auxiliary stand at Alexandra Park, the erection of which was decided upon in view of.the enoromns crowds that aro expected to attend the several big rugby matches was completed to-day. The stand is about a quarter of a mile in length and will seat from 12,000 to 15,000 people. Two tons of bolts were used in tho construction. Tho stand is to be at the disposal of the Auckland Rugby Union until September 15th, after which it may be dismantled. The opinion has been expressed that the structure is the largest auxiliary stand which has ever ben erected in the Southern Heinispear'e. THE BRITISH TEAM. WANGANUI, July 9. Tho AngloWelsh footbal team arrived this afternoon and were welcomed by the Mayor and football officials. In the evening they were interested members of a large audience who attended the Rotorua Maori Choir entertainment. The weather is wet and cold.
