PERSONAL NOTES

Mr J. Martin, of the local Post Office, left for Wellington and Dunedin by the Mapourika yesterday morning. Mr Joseph McLean leaves for Christchurch and Wellington this evening on 3 business trip. Rev. 11. Smytlie, of Kumara, yesterday proceeded to Reefton, where ho will remain for some time. The Misses York arrived from Reefton last evening and are staying at the Vicarage. Mr G. Rush, representing the Kaiapoi Woollen Company, arrived in Reefton last evening and will be in Greymouth next week. Mr C. Kilgour, of the Telegraph Department , who has been relieving in Westport, returned home last evening. Mr H. L. Michel (Mayor of Hokitika), accompanied by his wife and daughter, arrived from Wellington by the Mapourika on Thursday afternoon, and subsequently left for Hokitika. Mr and Mrs W. A. i.indop arrived in town by the Mapourika on Thursday, and left for their home at Poerua yesterday morning. Mr E. Irving, of the Greymouth Telegraph Office, has been transferred to Reefton. Mr HolTineisten goes from Reefton to Westport, while Mr C. Kilgour'conies from Westport to Greymouth. Mr Isdale, manager of the Greymouth Fresh Food and Ice Company, loft for Dunedin per Otira train this morning. Mr Joseph Mandl and Miss Mandl, of Hokitika, left for Wellington per Mapourika yesterday morning. Mr John Hamblcton, youngest son if Mr Joseph Hamblcton, manager of the Dispatch Foundry, left by the Mapourika yesterday morning for Wellington, where he joins the R.M'.S. Dorset, leaving for.__ London on Tuesday next. y
