Edwin Herring, aged 15, said ha loaded the gun in the kitchen with the intention of shooting a blue crane that ho had several times seen outside lately. He picked up the guh, placed it at half cock, threw it over his shoulder, and was walking dowjT' the passage when it accidentally went off and shot his siser, who was behind him. He and hisbrother, when they saw she was dead, were frightened and ran away. A verdict of accidentally killed was retunned.
