Feb. 28The Daily Mail, demanding the complete retirement of ’ Sir John Simon, the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, says:— “No foreign Government cares what Ilrltain thinks, regarding herns an elderly female relegated to the armchair, yet Sir John Simon affects to believe that the Empire’s wisest policy is helplessness. He is one of the Ministers who muddled Britain into tile Great War. What Is there to prevent him from muddling her into a fresh conflict V 'idle Government must rid itself of the liability of his presence if it is not to fall to pieces.”
