MEETING OF COMMITTEE At the meeting of the Feilding R.S.A. Air N. C. Harding presided over Atessrs Ji. McLeod, T. K. Hay, L. Aliller, H. Richardson, W. U. Booth, R. H. Buchanan and A. Drew, of Londonwrote regarding the ease of a member of the New Zealand Expeditionary Forces whose case came before the Feilding R.S.A. through the offices of certain settlers of the district. Consideration was given the matter of the desirability of having exsoldier mental cases provided for in other than public mental asylums. It was reported that there were 80<J soldier patients in mental hospitals and the view was expressed that these cases required special consideration even to the extent of the authorities providing a special institution whereby they could be kept ai>art from the variety of civil cases. The view’ was expressed that a portion of the Canteen Fund might be utilised for providing special and sejiarate accommodation for all returned soldier mental cases. It was reported that over a peridd of four months the Feilding branch had rendered financial assistance to 72 returned men who had passed through Feilding in search of work. Secretary Miller reported that the membership now stood at 92.
