During the pluckiest display, in which he was severely punished, Crossley was repeatedly down for counts of eight an dnine in the later rounds. BOUT DECLARED NO CONTEST “I. declare it- no contest,” said the referee in stopping’ a 15-round bout at Hull between Eddie Peirce, the South African middleweight champion, and Teddie Phillips, the Canadian champion, in tlie eighth round lor evasive tactics.
