For Butter and Cheese HI (ill Kit CONSUMPTION AT LOW PRICES (Per Press Association) Wellington, Feb. 27 The Dairy Produce Board lias received a cable from London stating: that the firmer markets for butter and cheese are: duo to substantially increased consumption at low retail prices It is now estimated that the consumption is at least DOOOtong a. week. Manv buyers, including import ers, have acquired reserve stocks in consequence.
The hoard has also been advised that Denmark is considering: a proposal to form a pool to reg'iilate the quantity available for weeklv shipment to Britain tlie surplus to be purchased with autiioritv for disposal either locally or in any other available market.
