L. MaepherSoii. clothier and mercer. in KangitiEei street. Palmerston. Passers-by oil Sunday morning reported having notice 1 a small ‘tis--1 lay window empty ' except for The stands, and an investigation showed that the wooden door at the rear of of the window had been prise l open with a blunt 'instrument. 'I be burglars made a dean sweep of the men’s summer wear removing nine pairs trousers, shirts, pullovers, socks and underwear, even removing the drajiery of the window. The matter is being investigated by the police.
