Thr honorary Government Meteorologist, Mr Frank Mason, gives the following particulars: Rain 101 lon eight days Ur a total ni 1.22 iir-h.es which is 2 inches loss than the average. This, posit ion makes Foil ding’s rainfall for the nine months of the vonr 4 inches below the average and thus if tho average’ rainfall for thej 12 months is to hr maintained, October November and December will require r o record a fall of 17 inches. The heaviest fall during the month was on September 2 when .21 mche ? fell.
