FINE WORK OF BRITISH NAVY PREMIER’S GRATITUDE (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) Rugby, Oct.- 1. The British Charge d'Affaires. Mr. Cavendish Bentrick. to-day conveyed a message from his Government to l lie Greek Premier, M. Veuizelos, stating that if tl*e assistance of tlie British Mediterranean Fleet was required to help in rescue work in any otlier area devastated by the earthquakes a request could l»e addressed direct to Admiral Chntfleid. The Greek Premier expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the help already given by tlie British Navy. Further slight shocks were to-day-felt in the Chaicidice region.
