YUKON MIXER’S DECISION RETURNING TO AUSTRALIA The opinion that, after all, Australia and New Zealand were the best places in the world in which to live, was expressed by Mr. G. O. McGregor, an old Yukon gold miner, of Granville, near Dawson City, who was passing through Auckland. Mr. McGregor, who was born at Morangarell. in X.K.W., left Australia as a young man to seek his fortune in the Yukon. Last May he passed through Auckland on the way to visit the place of his hirtb, after . "nbroken absence of 34 years. . h • Yukon is the finest place in the world for a young man with a bit of money.” he said at the time. “Opportunity is boundless.
