FARMERS’ DISTRIBUTING CO. RESULT OF ITS CATALOGUE The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co. reports on the Foilding Ram Fair as follows :—- Our jeritjY comprised approximately one-third of the yarding of some 2500 from the principal in the- province. Romneys, of which there were some 1200 penned, met with an in and out sale. Good quality met with, good competition, but prices realsed were in buyer’s favour. Best quality made from 4 to bg'ns, medium from 2J to 3 h g ns. Some of our principal sales were: On account H. R. Johnston, 3)- to. ( ig-ns; \V. H. Henson, 2 to jgns; A. 1.. Dermer, 2 to 3 Jgns; estate E. E. Short, 3 to 4g'ns; \V. HGibson 2I to 4igns; Jacob and Son, 4 to 4)gns ; W. E. Baker, 2 to Jgns; T. E. Raiue, 4 to sgns; D. Kilgour jnr., 1) to 4-igus; A. E. Sanddands 3 to qlgns; A. Brown, -i to 4gns; C. G. C. Dermer, i j to 3gns; W. C. Small, 3igns. Mr A. E. Sandilands topped the. prices for studs at jpgris; W. H. Gibson’s studs made from 17 to 20 gns. Southdowns, numbering 1250, were offered the second day, but prices were not up to anticipation. Studs on account, Jas. Knight made from 20 to 25 gns; Ellis Bros., 11 to 20gns; W. Price, I2gns. While there was a. good demand for flocks buyers’ limits were low and a large number were bought at prices consderably lower than at last year’s fair. E. M. Hare’s run of 34 topped the market at an average of 4 jgns. Other sales were: G. Handley, 3 to jgns; JKnight, 4 to sgns; \Y- IT. Humphrey, 3 to 4gns; C. G. C. Dermer 3 to 4)gns; E. M.
