A Flood in Porirua WATER SOON' RECEDES EROSION IN GORGE ROAD SOME GREEKS OVERFLOW Heavy rain yesterday morning flooded low-lying portion, of Porirua, anti entered some of the liousesThe Titalii rad was under water in places, and parts of the Ngalmuran ga Gorge road were eaten away by water unable to escape through the overloaded culverts. Many creeks overflowed their banks, water swejJt across the main street in, Porirua. For 'a. time also, water was across parts of the Hutt road when the sumps overflowed. The flood receded almost as fast as i t rose.
