TWO TRAINS CRASHED
A STRANGE ACCIDENT ONLY ONE FATALITY (Aust. and N.Z. Cable) (Reeeived March 20, 2 p.m.) Vancouver, March 19. A section of a, sewer pipe weighing two tons was being dragged across the tracks of the North-Western Railway Co. near Chicago, late af night when it rolled off the skids and stuck in the mud. Despite heroic efforts to avoid a disaster two t rains crashed into the obstruction. BPth locomotives exploded. One engineer, Cart Kutzner, was killed. All the crews except Air Kutzner jumped to safety when it was realised that a smash was inevitable.
