Kivvjtea.—Pot-hole repairs have been carried out on Perry’s, McßetVs and Bryce’s roads. Waituua.—lt will be necessary to redeck the? two bridges ciossing the Pakiliikura. stream at an early date ■i the present decking is showing ssigns of decay.

Ongo.—The old wooden culverts on Sinclair’s road, No 377 highway have been renewed with concrete pipes and the bends on Pearce’s Hill improved. Kimbolton.—During ( The current month I intend to replace on old wooden culvert on Terrace road with 24 inch concrete pipes.

Peep-o-Day—The old timber bridge on the Mangapapa road near Mr Kevern’s residence is at present in a very unsafe condition and arrangements liavet been made, to have repairs effected immediately. Northern Ridings Pakiliikura—Tho fern on the Sandon Biloek rood has been cut back and an old wash out on the. Peka road attended to. Rangivahiar—The foment pipes to replace the old wooden bridge near Mr P. C. Ireland’s residence are now on the ground and the work will be proceeded wijthj at first opportunity. Ha.ut.apu.—At tlio . Pourangaki bridge a stone groyne has been put in to prevent further erosion at cue of the centre piers. * STATEMENT OF RATES General 1929-31}—Struck £11,434 9s 9d .paid and rebate, £11,141 Cs Gd. ■Special 1929-30.—Struck £2944 os 9d, pa d £2771 3s lid. Summaiy of arrears outstanding (three years),—General £123 4s Bd. Specials £4 6s lOd. BUSINESS DONE Crs. Hair and Shannon moved that legal proceedings be taken for the recovery of outstanding dog tax. Crs. Williamson and Hair moved that legal proceedings be taken for tho recovery of all rates remaining unpaid after March 28, 1930. Crs. Brown and Stack moved that the clerk apply’to the Comissioner of Crown Lands fo>- The payment of rates on abandoned csctroii in the Otamakopua, soldier’s i-ettlement .• ow grazed by local settlers.

Crs L. T. McLean and Stack moved that the overseer of the northern ridings be instructed to> carry out repairs to the bridge over the Cliff j-oad in the Lower Kawliatau Valley. Crs. L. T. McLean and Wood moved that the matter of erecting the boundary fence between the property occupied by the Bruce estate and the roadman’s cottage reesrve at Bull Flat be left in the hands of tho county overseer.

These resolutions were all carried. Accounts amounting to £1137 13s 9d v'ere passed for payment.
