WHITE ISLAND ACTIVE
GRIT CARRIED OUT TO SEA
A party of Opotiki residents visited Whife Island and they report wonderful activity in the Blowhole. One vent was particularly active, throwing up very fine grit, which was carried out to sea for fully two miles. Workmen on the island stated they had never seen this particular hole as active as it is at present.
