APPLICATIONS ROLLING IN ASSURANCE TO FORMER EMPLOYEES (Aust. and N.Z. Cable? Sydney, March 18. The inineownery state that applications from miners for the idle pits are. still rolling in. They will meet to-morrow toi decide which pits shall be reopened, and have given an assurance t°' former employee's that they will not be displaced in the event of the miners’ organisation changing its present hostile attitude. At one large colliery 428 men have fiioplied for work.
