Business is slow' for this time of the year, when as a rule there is a fairly brisk demand for at least*n. few of the principal products. Reports from Southland are that a satisfactory crop is promised and good seed is quoted at 6s 8d f.o.b. 5.1., Machine-dressed cocksfoot is quoted at 12Jd per lb. the equivalent of which is about 8d on t rucks Business is very restricted. There promises to ho a. good white clover crop this year. Round about 9d per lb on trucks is the average value.
