Tlie State Parliamentary Labour Party has improved; itlio. Labour Cabinet’s proposals for unemployment insurance. If is now proposed that pending t!,p operation of tjpeh legislation, to raise £350,000 hv a special income and property tax from tlie relief of unemployed, at the, .rate of one halfpenny in tlie pound on incomes derived from personal exertion and * penny in file pound from property. Income tax will be levied on all singlo men earning £2OO per 'car or over and on married men of -£3OO or over.
