He landed at Queen Maud mountains, picked up extra, petrol and flew homeward to land at Eittle America. CONQUEROR. OF TWO POLES The conqueror of two Poles by air, Commander Byrd, llew into camp at, 10 past 10 this morning. He had been gone exactly 19 hours, of which one hour avus spent at the mountain base refuelling.
