The rejoicing on thp coalfields is widespread, the news coming as a light in the darkness to many who bad not known bow they were going to live fl.rout.h flic Christmas period. I Tf the miners ratify the settlement terms, a rush of coal orders is assured as stocks everywhere are depleted and many are very low.
Tf; is certain that sales to the Government services alone to secure full stpeks and lesprves can furnish emplc.ymopt for 1200 men immediately on fqll time at the mines. The gas companies and big industries all need large quantifies t.o restore normal conditions.
