NEW ZEALANDERS PRESENT LADY HAIG SPEAKS (Aust. acd N.Z. Cable) London, June 25. Tire largest conference of the Empire Service League since, "its inauguration commenced ibis morning when the Grand President, Lord Jcllieoe, led a‘pilgrimage to the Cenotaph, where wreaths wore laid by the New Zealand delegates, General Russell and Mr V. Grawshaw. Air Amcry, ex-Dominjon Secretary, opened tho conference in a moving! address. He eulogised the late Marshal Haig, and all eyes were turned towards Lady Haig, wlia, in deop mourning, bowed from her seat on Lord Jellicoe’s fight hand. Then she lifted her bead and said: “You fought to save, the Empire. Your task is. now to belp to realise the dreams you dreamt when you risked your lives. Your main task is the better distribution of tho parent stock. There is no better way of helping tlniu migration aiid settle* meat.”- • - ■
