The AVellington Provincial Farmers’ Union Conference opened to-day, with 80 delegates present- The conference will last two day® and is presided over by K. AV, Dalrymple of Bulls, who. in his address stated that generally New Zealand frozen meat and avool hold their oaa'u in the world’s markets. The prices for New Zealand butter and cheese, as compared with the products of our chief competitors, Denmark and Canada,! were not ®o satisfactory. If we could equal their prices, taking the difference at 3s per cwt., it would return tlie Dominion producers £500,000 more per annum. The reason may be insufficient advertising and bad selling or faults in manufacture or production.
