A Court of Inquiry into the bombdropping tragedy at Peshawar found that, the disaster was partly due to llio failure of judgment of certain officers who arc being court -mart billed. The Army Secretary announced generous grants of pensions to tin' injured and the dependants of the dead.
(Bombs were dropped on a squadron of Indian cavalry apparently under the idea that it was white target on the ground).
