IN THE KIWITEA A MONTH’S PKOGUAMME Overseers E. H. Jiggers and C. Stout submitted at yesterday's meeting of the Kinitea County Council the following icport on work done in tlie Southern and Northern i filings - respectively: SOUTHEUN HIDINGS Cheltenham riding. This section of the main highway has also received attention with the grader. Waituna riding—Hew a Hill and the southern section ol the Kangitilcei Valley road have been trimmed with the grader and the usual past month, and the Parorangi road is now in a very, much improved condition. The cost of maintenance in this riding should be very small lor the balance of the current year. 1 intend to have .the drain on \\ ilsonV line cleaned out and the grass cut in the Waituna. cemetery during the current month. The recent break way on tlie main highway near Peop-o’-Day has been repaired so as to allow traffic to get through with safety. 1 should like to mention that the travelling public are indebted to Mr ¥. P. Myers for erecting and maintaining lights on this breakway until the road was mad** passable to vehicular trallic.
