DRY SPELL CONTINUES
RUSH FIRES DANGEROUS
(Per Press Association) ‘ Auckland, Jan. 25. There is no sign of the breaking of the- dry spell in the Auckland province. In the city and suburbs ’ gardens are parched and hare, and in the country ihe farmers have little green feed, and milk production continues to fall. Reports to.dav indicate' that the bush fires which have been raging have been got under control, or else are nob spreading, owing to the.' drop in the wind. The danger of further damage, however, is nob yet, over.
