LABOUR IN NORWAY
COMES INTO POWER-
ON THE KING'S INVITATION
(Aust. and N.Z. Cable!. Oslo, Jan 24. Against the advice ol Mi* Lykke, the King invited the Labourites; the strongest party in the Storthing (Parliament; to form a- Cabinet. They consented. Titus Norway’s first Labour Government is due to the King's initiative. The Premier, however, will not be the Labour leader, Air Alfred Madsen who is too deeply compromised with Soviet, hut Mr Christopher Hornsrud, a. farmer and vice-chairman of the party. The new Government wil contain no Communists, only orthodox Labourites, and will bo obliged to adhere to a. moderate policy.
