STOLEN CLOTHES RECOVERED SENT BY PATEA POLICE Seyeral months have el a p.seer since the v residence in Derby street oi Me Guy Goodbehere was entered in. a particularly impudent and daring ‘ma-nh.fr, the articles stolen armamg a new suit of clothes, an overcoat and a sum, of money. It will be remembered that the intruder passed, through an open sleeping porch occupied by members ol the household and after ransaking an adjoining bedroom, departed by way .»f the front door.
The police have . bec-n of the opinion all through that the burgrary wns the work of a bird of passage. This has just been substantiated by the receipt of the clothes from the police m Patea, where they mm been traced, and, recovered. The clothes bore a crumpled appearance,' as though they had been confined in a suitcase ox - the like lor some time. Beyond this they are- in good condition and do not appear to have been worn
The manner in which the clothes were recovered in Patea is not known by the FeiTduig police and as regards the thief they have rm information to impart as yet, hut it is probable that there will he further developments.
