CALIFORNIAN THISTLE.
STB OXG HOLD IN KIWI TEA. On certain farm .lands between Kiwitea. and Kimholton the Californian thistle appears to have taken a strong hold. So thick is the weed growing in some paddocks that, to a layman at least, it presents a big problem a.s to the »method to bG adopted for eradication. To the clean farmer, more often than, not living just over the fence or across tlie road, the sight must be-"' the cause of much heart-burning. At the moment the flower heads are ripening lap and wide to be deposited in the beautiful clean pastures or ni tho Jate crops, no one knows and Oo one 1 seems to care. So the business 61 the natural dissemination of the seeds of one of the most detested weeds goes on. It is hard to conceive why this state of affairs should be allowed to exist.
