Two hotel servants, the main suspects in: the Mncfie murder case, have confessed to the crime. One of them stabbed Mrs Mnolie, who was touring Batavia, while the other held the victim’s legs, two other hotel “hoys” keeping watch. Finally, the two other confederates removed. Airs Macfie’s luggage to ail empty house, where it was plundered. The prisoners declared that robbery was the sole motive of the crime, and there was no European confederate.
