REMARKS BY MR COATES “A BROAD MIND AND A BIG HEART” (Per Press Associanou. > Invercargill, May .1 Replying to expressions oi smypatliy regarding the Premier’s health, the Hon. J. G. Coates stated this afternoon that Mr Massey's condition was far from satisfactory and that the Prime Minister was much weaker. The Premier had a broad mind and a, big heart. He put New'Zeala nd .first all the time. He appreciated their refevpneos to Mr Massey as a “True Britisher and a great Imperialist” and would convey to Mrs Massey their expressions of smypathy.
