CLUB DANCE
FUNDS FOR KOPANE-BONGO-TEA COURTS. At Awahuri last night the IvopaneBongotea Tennis Club held a most successful dance to aid. the candidature of the Farmers' Queen, Mis* »M. Bower. "; - ; ; The proceeds of the. function and others of a similar nature which, are being held throughout the • district will bo spent on forming v and improving the Bongotea Tennis Court?!.. Tho hall was well filled, and the wholo proceedings were admirably, conducted. Mernlxn-s of Larkin's orchestra provided delightful music, whi]e Miss Nellie Bengo contributed/extras. The lloor wa.s in splendid order and those present thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment. Supper, of home-made delicacies was served by the ladiesDuring tho evening several competitions were conducted, helping to swell the funds considerably.
