Cabinet have called the district engineer at Wentworth to Sydney to advise them on settling the Murray lands between Moama' and the South Australian bolder. He states that there are over 400,000 acres of irrigable land close to the river on which 20,000 men could be settled Eventually 28,000 holdings could bo provided for small cultivators on the basis of the Mildura settlement. This settlement on the New South Wales side would carry 180,000 people.
