The King’s Derby horses, Weathervane, St. David and London Cry, have been withdrawn from the race. WANGANUI RACES. (Per Press Association.) Wanganui, May 18. 'l’lie Wanganui J.C. winter meeting opened in dull, threatening weather. Tlio track is in fairly good order. Results: Borough Handicap, 6 furlongs.— Kinsem 9.0, 1- Rational 10.4, 2; Orchid 0.30, 3. All started. Won by two lengths; two and n-lialf lengths between second and third. Time, 1.15 3-5. Comic and Blackmail fell. Hack Steeples, 2 miles.—Oak Rose 9.0. 1; Ngakanui 31.3, 2; Master Boris 10:9, 3. Scratched: General Haven, Kato, War Loan and Lady Lyddite. Won by three lengths; two lengths between second and third. Time, 4.4 2-5. Wanganui Steeplechase, about 3 miles. —Khartoum 9.10, 1; Omaliu 10.12, 2; Ivo.hu 10.2, 3. Scratched: General Raven. Won by three lengths; a neck between second and third. Time, 0.4. Maniahera fell. Tho Manawatu Hunt takes place next Saturday afternoon at Waituna.
