"HELEN OF DUNDEE
London, April 4. The war-time romance of the young Digger who since, his return'to Australia has been ondeavouring to trace his Scottish bride is likely to end. in wedding bells. "Helen of Dundee," the only name the Digger could remember, has been, discovered. She is Helen Johnstono, a bright, cherry, pink-cheeked girl. She has been absent in Glasgow,, and says that she is quite ready to go to Australia, where she could have "a proper marriage." Helen explained that she met the Dig-, ger in Dundee in 1919, and had known him only for a. few days when he asked her to marry him. They went through the form of Scott*»li marriage at her perents' home, and arranged to go to the Registrar's Office on the following day ; but the Digger was forced to leave hurriedly to join a troopship leaving for home.
