MINISTERIAL EXPLANATION
Sir Francis Bell points out, in reply to a Gishorne complaint- of being excluded from the Prince of Wales' itinerary, that the Sundays during (he Prince's visit arc to bo kepi, absolutely free for rest from arduous duties.' Therefore it is impossible to send the Renosvn from Napier during
the sveek-end. The itinerary is necessarily limited, and only 27 days aro available. Regarding the four days in Christ-church, the Minister states that one is a Sunday, and that- the i/reater part of another day svill be absorbed by a race meeting.
