FEES FOR COUNCILLORS
RECOMMENDATION FROM CHRISTCHURCH (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, June 24. The City Council has recommended a remit to" be forwarded to the Municipal Association Conference providing for payment of borough councillors at the rate of one guinea for each attendance at the Council or Standing Committee meeting, but no- councillor should be paid more than £5-1 12s during any year of office.
