The indications are for south-eas-terly winds, moderate to strong and backing by east to north, then freshening. Increasing haze and cloudiness for change in the beginning of the week. Barometer falling after about 24 hours.
A Maori named Motomanu was crushed to death under his wood-cart in the Waikato on Thursday. Thomas Wilson, a returned soldier, was found dead at Christchurch yesterday, hanging from a beam at his residence.
