FARM WORK DELAYED.
LOCAL AND GENERAL
On being asked for an item of news regarding farming operations in the Sandon district, a leading farmer said yesterday: " There is nothing to report. It is too wet to farm." Ploughing for early sowing is completed, of course, and the crops are in; but later ploughing is being much delayed. Farmers are anxiously waiting for a few fine days to draw up some of the moisture from the ground"
