RIVER PROTECTION.
The Pohangin County Council intends to pursue active willow-plant-ing work in the comity, and at Saturday's meeting decided to plant extensively at Digger's Creek and Piripiri bridges, Parsons' Ford, and also at Raumai bridge. The engineer, Mr Sinclair, stated that this was a cheap and effective means of protection.
