London, July 15
Premier Lloyd George, replying to a deputation of London members of the House of Commons, admitted that there was special .nee*d for defending London against air raids, but stated that the safety, of soldiers at the front was the durst consideration. He added: "If anyone says to the contrary, let them find another Government."
The Premier denied that air squadrons were sent to France against the advice of the military authorities, stating that they were sent at the prosing request of Field-Marshal Haig. whoiir all the military advisors supported.
Ll.ovd George added that the Go vernment accepted the principle of national responsibility for damage by ail raids.
