Details of the Terrible Fight at Nieuport
Premier .Lloyd George is as emphatic in refusing to yield to re-prisal-for-air-raid pressure as'he has been on other subjects. And apparently he has Sir Douglas Haig's advice behind his dictum that tho safety of our soldiers on the west front is of greater consideration than that of London. To-day's reports show that there has been great activities on the part of our aviators, Zeebrugge again comingwithui the zone of their operations—a proof in itself that the public agitation has stirred.our hornets of the-air into activity. Brusiloff has' spoken plainly to the Russian people—aud ho continues his successful drive against the enemy, General Korniloff's army sweeping all before it. Once he reaches Lemberg, ho will havo a great railway system at bis service. How serious is tbe situation for the enemy may bo judged from the"excitement in tho Hungarian Parliament. Further developments have taken place in Germany, another man (Dr. Michaelis) being pulled out of obscurity by the Kaiser to replace Yon Hollweg as Chancellor. Thero are details showing how terrible was the Anglo-Ger-man fight at Nieuport.
