MR SLY'S STOCK SALE.
The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. reports: On Tuesday we held a sale of dairy stock on account of Mr A. It. Sly, Whakaronga. There was a good attendance of buyers and a good sale resulted. The best prices for good early cows were £12, £13, £13 TOs. £15 10s. £17. The herd of 26 cows averaged £10, Jersey heifers, springing. £7 15s, £8. heifers in calf £4 10s. £5 159. £6 10s. 3-year halfdraught filly £15 ss, .pony £3, bear £3 10s. sows £3 15s to £4 ss. JOHNSONVILLE SALES. Abraham and Williams report on their Johnsonville sale yesterday: A good yarding of cattle and sheep came forward, tho former soiling at high prices. Sheep are in very small demand. Extra prime heavy bullocks realised £17 10s to £18 2s 6d. prime heifers £13 2s Gd. £13 os to. £14 2s 6d, empty heifers £4 ss. prime ewes 275. prime wethers 29s Gd to 335. rams 21s Bd, 22s Id. 20s 9d to 27s 2d, prime lambs 22s to 20s 9d.
