British Forces Pushing the Turks Very Hard in iesopotamia
The good news comes through to-day that General Aylmer is on the move aggressively again in Mesopotamia, where the British forces "have had huge reinforcements aud there is a suggestion that our occupation of Bagdad is imminent. No wonder the Germans on the west fear that unless they can score a big win at Verdun the lloumanians will come into the light on tho sido of tho Allies. The French are sanguine that they can hold Verdun. Another Zeppelin raid has been made upon Liv; south-east coast of England, but with no material result. Germany i.s reported Lo be in a great slate of excitement over the return of the raider Moewe—but it is asking too much to believe that she could get hack fo the Kiel Canal. We will-wait and see. The British Navy will yet account for the Moewo. There arc several other interesting items included in to-day's news.
