The .ship Benlee, from Liverpool, bound for Sydney, collided with the American liner Philadelphia oil' Southslack. The Ben lee's crew took to the boats, and all excepting one man were saved: AVlien the captain left the Benlee her deck was awash. Melbourne, January 31. An unknown vessel, .supposed to be a Norwegian, barque, is reported wrecked on King Island. A tug has gone to its assistance. (Received February 1, 9.1.0 a.m.) Sydney, February i. Tho Underwriters' Association received from London a cable stating that on the Clan MacTavish. which is overdue, they are paying 80 per cent. Vessels arriving report terrific weather. (Received February 1, V.'Zo a.m.) Melbourne, February I. The vessel which is ashore at King Island, olf the coast of Tasmania, is the Norwegian sailing vessel Sorlarereu, timber laden, en route from Gothenburg to Melbourne. She will probably be refloated. The crew are believed to be safe.
