Tho Ministers are discussing the seriousness of strikes in war timo. An Industrial War Council is suggested, composed of Federal and State Ministers, and representatives of the Chamber of Manufacturers and the Trades Hall Council, to effectively deal with industrial troubles. Tho .Hon. Mr Hagelthorn, speaking at the Native Association's luncheon, said a mandate must be obtained from the people to intern men. whether employers or employees, causing dislocation of industrial machinery during the war. General McKay appealed to the workers, on belwlf of the soldiers. that, whatever differences or difficulties exist, "for God's sake let them stand over till the war has ceased."
