TOLL OF THE WAR FOR BRITAIN

Mr Asquith, in a written reply to a question, stated that the total British casualties to January 9 were as follows :—-
In France.—s3lß officers and 82,130 mon killed; 10,217 officers and 245,----990 men wounded ; 1691 officers and 52,341 men missing.
In the Dardanelles.—l7ls officers and 26,1,55 men killed; 314-3 officers mid 71,952 men wounded ; 353 officers and 10,001 men missing.
Tv Other Theatres.—-918 officers and 11.752 men killed: 816 officers and 15.105 men wounded ; 101 officers and 2650 men missing.
