THE OPPOSITION CAMPAIGN. OPERATIONS IN THE AUCKLAND DISTRICT , . Tho Liberals are inaugurating a campaign in the Auckland district. Sir Joseph Ward will arrive to-mor-row, and will deliver a speech. He will then proceed to Te.Aroha, whore he will .make a reply £b the recent speech delivered thero "by the Prime Minister. In the meantime Messrs W. S. D. Mac Donald, •J. C. Thomson, and G. AVitty, M.P.'s have, arrived, and have ad out on the «'iu'path in tli c north of Auckland. They will be joined at the end of this week by Mr T. Seddon, M.P. Messrs MhcDonakl, Thomson and Witty proceeded to Hclensville yesterday. An interesting and important feature of the camapign is the promised "straight epealung" by Mr MaicDonald with reference to tho action of tlibso members who crossed the floor of the House after having been elected as Liberals.
