A wireless mesage rrom the steamer Eden, which is searching for the missing dredge Manchester, states' that her mission so far has beeai fruitless.

Wellington, May 17. It. is almost certain that another search will be made for the dredge. The Hon. G. Laurenson is endeavouring to arrango for tho H.M.S. Encounter, which leaves Auckland in a day or two for Sydney, to keep a more northerly course than usual, in the hope of finding tho dredge.'
