SHIPS
BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT. PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. New York, May 17. The Airmen's Convention at New Jersey discussed the practicability of using aeroplanes for extinguishing fires. Most of tho members thought it absurd. Others saw no reason why fire-extinguishing chemicals should not be used similarly to bomb-dropping in warfare. Their use for sky-scraper fires was particularly recommended.
